Bahamas 1981 5 cents

This specimen is one of a type struck at the Royal Mint for the Bahamas 1974-2006. In 1974 the bust of the queen was dropped in favor of the arms of the Bahamas. The Franklin Mint produced the proofs 1971-85. A pineapple flourishes on the reverse.

Recorded mintage: unknown plus 1,980 proofs.

Specification: 3.94 g, copper-nickel, 21 mm diameter.
