This specimen was lot 1721 in Jean Elsen sale 163 (Brussels, November 2025), where it sold for €900 (about US$1,040 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"BAHAMAS, Élisabeth II (1952-2022), AV 100 dollars, 1974. 1er anniversaire de l'indépendance. (Bahamas, Elizabeth II, 1952-2022, gold one hundred dollars of 1974, for the first anniversary of independence. Proof.)"

This NCLT was struck in 12 karat gold; another NCLT, with three flamingos on the reverse (KM 72/73/74), was lower in weight but made from 22 karat gold.

Recorded mintage: 4,486 plus 4,153 proofs.

Specification: 18.01 g, 0.500 fine gold, 33 mm diameter, this specimen 18,11 g.
