This specimen was lot 34384 in Heritage sale 3094 (Chicago, August 2021), where it sold for $2,280. The catalog description[1] noted, "Bahamas: Elizabeth II gold Proof 100 Dollars 1972 PR67 Deep Cameo PCGS." This NCLT doesn't seem to commemorate anything other than the government's desire to sell gold to speculators.
Recorded mintage: 2,250 + 1,250 proofs.
