Künker Auction 425, lot 1297

This specimen was lot 1297 in Künker Auction 425 (Osnabrück, July 2025), where it sold for €3,400 (about US$4,815 including buyers' fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"MÜNZEN UND MEDAILLEN AUS ÜBERSEE · BAHAMAS, Elizabeth II, 1952-2022. 100 Dollars 1971. Wappen. 36,62 g Feingold. GOLD. Polierte Platte. Aus der Familiensammlung Mohr. (Bahamas, Elizabeth II, 1952-2022, one hundred dollars of 1971, arms reverse. Proof.)"

This NCLT comes in several varieties depending on the presence and location of a fineness stamp. This one has the fineness stamped on the right of the reverse (KM 32.3). This may have been done to stimulate collector interest in the varieties; alas, this one sold for its bullion value.

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: 39.94 g, 0.917 fine gold, 1.177 troy oz AGW, 36 mm diameter.

Catalog reference: KM 32.3, Fr-5.
