Künker sale 354, lot 6152

This specimen was lot 6152 in Künker sale 354 (Osnabrück, Germany, September 2021), where it sold for €2,400 (about US$3,340 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"REICHSSILBERMÜNZEN, BADEN, Friedrich I. 1852-1907. 5 Mark 1901. Prachtexemplar. Stempelglanz. (Germany, grand duchy of Baden, Frederick I, 1852-1907, five mark of 1901, choice example, uncirculated.)"

This regular issue five mark was emitted 1891-1902. It is not rare but expensive in nice condition as is the silver two mark.

Recorded mintage: 128,131.

Specification: 27.77 g, 0.900 fine silver, 38 mm diameter.
