This specimen was lot 4281 in Sincona sale 4 (Zürich, October 2011) where it sold for 200 CHF (about US$266 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"DEUTSCHLAND Baden-Durlach, Markgrafschaft, ab 1806 Grossherzogtum Karl Leopold Friedrich, 1830-1852. Kronentaler 1831. Kl. Kr. Sehr schön. (Grand Duchy of Baden, Charles Leopold, 1830-52. kronenthaler of 1831. Hairlines, very fine)."
Davenport lists this type for 1830-37; the SCWC divides this issue into two subtypes with a slight modification of the bust in 1832. The type is scarce.
