Jean Elsen sale 155, lot 1796

This specimen was lot 1796 in Jean Elsen sale 155 (Brussels, June 2023), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted,

"ALLEMAGNE, BADE, Ludwig Ier (1818-1830), Cu 1 kreuzer, 1828. Superbe à Fleur de Coin. (Germany, grand duchy of Baden, Louis I, 1818-30, copper kreuzer of 1828. Extremely Fine - Uncirculated)"

This type was struck 1827-30 with or without mintmark. One thaler was 120 kreuzer.

Recorded mintage: 1,206,380 (with or without mintmark).

Specification: copper.
