This specimen was lot 5321 in Goldberg sale 72 (Los Angeles, February 2013), where it sold for $368. The catalog description[2] noted, "Austria. Taler, 1868. For the Third German Shooting Festival at Vienna. NGC graded MS-62." This issue is classed as a medal by the SCWC and not included therein but Davenport shows it so, what the heck, let's toss it in. The regular issue thaler of Franz Josef (KM 2245) ended in 1867, being superseded by the double florin (KM 2233).
Recorded mintage: unknown.
