This specimen was lot 5322 in Goldberg sale 72 (Los Angeles, February 2013), where it sold for $322. The catalog description[2] noted, "Austria. 2 Florin, 1876. Franz Joseph I. Laureate head right. Reverse: Crowned imperial double eagle. NGC graded MS-63." The double florin superseded the old thaler and was struck 1859-92 with various busts of Franz Josef.

Recorded mintage: 92,000.

Specification: 24.69 g, 0.900 fine silver, .714 troy oz AGW, lettered edge, 36 mm diameter.
