This specimen was lot 1707 in Künker sale 293 (Osnabrück, Germany, July 2017), where it sold for €2,400 (about US$3,235 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"KAISERREICH ÖSTERREICH, Franz Josef I. 1848-1916. Doppelgulden 1873, Wien, auf das Festschießen des Wiener Schützenvereins zum 25jährigen Regierungsjubiläum des Kaisers. R Hübsche Patina, winz. Kratzer, vorzüglich-Stempelglanz. (Empire of Austria, Francis Joseph I, 1848-1916, double gulden of 1873, Vienna mint, on the Vienna shooting festival held on the 25th anniversary of Franz Josef's reign. Scarce, handsome patina, minor scratches, extremely fine to uncirculated.)"
This rare commemorative is listed in the Unusual World Coins rather than the regular SCWC. It was accompanied by a four ducats (Fr-500).
