This specimen was lot 24129 in Heritage sale 3032 (Chicago, April 2014), where it sold for $2,791. The catalog description[1] noted, "Franz Joseph I gold 4 Ducats 1873, Vienna mint, VF Details (Ex-Jewelry) PCGS. A relatively scarce commemorative type issued for the Vienna Shooting Festival during the 25th Jubilee of Franz Joseph's reign. Despite its burnished appearance, this is an aesthetically stylistic design with a wonderful, historical account." The module is as large as a thaler but the coin (which may actually be a medal) is very thin.
