This specimen was lot 33562 in Heritage sale 3067 (Long Beach, September 2018), where it sold for $660. A better date on this popular type, with some very faint scatterings of handling demarcations, and a considerable reflectivity within the fields." Gold ducats were struck throughout Franz Josef's long reign and come in many types. This type was struck 1852-59 at Vienna ("A"), Kremnitz ("B"), Karlsburg (shown here), Milan ("M") and Venice ("V"). This is a common date.
