Steve Album sale 54, lot 2385

This specimen was lot 2385 in Steve Album Auction 54 (Santa Rosa, CA, January 2026), where it sold for $168. The catalog description[1] noted, "AUSTRIA: Maria Theresa, 1740-1780, AR thaler, 1770, initials IC-SK, a few light adjustment marks, tiny obverse field scratch, VF." This type was struck at Vienna 1767-72 and is common. It is a close relative of the famous "Maria Theresia" thaler first struck in Burgau in 1780.
