Jean Elsen sale 154, lot 1625

This specimen was lot 1625 in Jean Elsen sale 154 (Brussels, March 2023), where it sold for €420 (about US$544 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"SAINT EMPIRE, Charles VI (1711-1740), AR Taler, 1739, Vienne. D/ B. l., dr. et cuir. à d. R/ Aigle impériale couronnée. Nettoyé. Très Beau à Superbe. (Austria, Charles VI, 1711-40, silver thaler of 1739, Vienna mint. Obverse: laureate, draped and armored bust right; reverse: crowned imperial eagle. Cleaned, Very Fine - Extremely Fine.)"

This type was struck 1735-40, along with similar types from Hall, Breslau and Graz.
