Sincona sale 26, lot 3630

This specimen was lot 3630 in Sincona sale 26 (Zürich, October 2015), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted,

"HOLY ROMAN EMPIRE - AUSTRIA, Karl VI. 1711-1740 Dukat 1729. Wien. Von allergrösster Seltenheit. Vorzüglich. (Holy Roman Empire, Charles VI, 1711-40, ducat of 1729, Vienna mint. Extremely rare, extremely fine.)"

This type was struck was struck 1713-40 and is priced about 75% more than the ducats of Francis I. Similar coins were struck at St. Veit, Graz and Hall (Fr-378).

Specification: 3.5 g, .986 find gold, .110 troy oz AGW; this specimen is 3.44 g.
