This specimen was lot 1017 in Goldberg Sale 146 (Los Angeles, July 2025), where it sold for $120. The catalog description[1] noted, "Austria. 3 Kreuzer (Groschen), 1664 (Hall). Archduke Sigismund Franz. Pop 1; The only one graded at PCGS. Lovely toning on both sides. PCGS graded MS-63. The Augustana Collection." This type was struck at the Hall mint for Sigismund Francis 1663-65. He was the last Austrian archduke to exercise the mint right. Among other titles, he was bishop of Augsburg, bishop of Gurk and bishop of Trent altho he was never ordained as a priest. Other three kreuzer, including KM 1115 (Graz), 1116 (St.-Veit) and KM 1169 (Vienna), were struck for the emperor.

Recorded mintage: 5,624,000.

Specification: 1.5 g, 0.414 fine silver, 20.5 mm diameter.
