This specimen was lot 1012 in Jean Elsen price list 259 (Brussels, January-March 2012), where it was offered at €3,000. The catalog noted,
"SAINT EMPIRE, Rodolphe II (1576-1612), AR Taler, 1604, Hall. Pour le Tyrol. Piéfort de poids triple. Droit: B. l. et cuirassé à droite, une fraise au col. Revers: Grand écu ovale, orné et couronné, entouré du collier de la Toison d'or. Extrêmement Rare. Légère trace de bélière. Très Beau à Superbe (Holy Roman Empire, Rudolph II (1576-1612), silver thaler of 1604, Hall mint, struck for Tyrol. Piéfort of triple weight. Obverse: laureate, armored bust to right, with ruffed collar. Reverse: large oval arms, crowned, with the Order of the Golden Fleece around. Extremely rare, slight trace of mounting, VF - EF)"
This particular type is listed for 1602-05 and closely related types with the portrait of Rudolf II were struck at Hall, Vienna and Graz until his death in 1612. For 1604, these types included Dav-3002 and Dav-3005A.
