This specimen was lot 1899 in Stephen Album sale 27 (Santa Rosa, CA, January 2017), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "AUSTRALIA: George V, 1910-1936, AR shilling, 1922. Fabulous example, extremely rare in this quality, NGC graded MS63." The type was struck 1911-36 at London, Melbourne (this specimen) and Sydney. Though the type is not rare, the price ascends rapidly with grade. This date is scarce.
Recorded mintage: 2,040,000 plus proofs.
Specification: 5.45 g, 0.925 fine silver, 24 mm diameter.
