Sincona sale 51, lot 2240

This specimen was lot 2240 in Sincona sale 51 (Zürich, October 2018), where it sold for 2,200 CHF (about US$2,654 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"George V. 1910-1936. Sovereign 1921 P, Perth. Rare in this condition. NGC MS66."

This date, from a type struck 1911-28 at Perth (shown here), Melbourne and Sydney, is common.

Recorded mintage: 2,314,000.

Specification: 7.98 g, 0.917 fine gold.
