This specimen was lot 1439 in Stephen Album sale 50 (Santa Rosa, CA, September 2024), where it sold for $1,560. The catalog description[1] noted, "AFGHANISTAN: Abdur Rahman, 1880-1901, AE 100 dinars (10 paise), Kabul, AH1311, denomination written out below the mosque, yek sad dinar, fantastic bold even strike, certainly one of the finest known examples, lovely chocolate brown color, very rare one-year type, choice VF-XF, RRR, ex Albert Gammon Collection, ex Stephen Album Price List #228." Milled coinage was introduced to Afghanistan during the reign of Abdur Rahman (1880-1901).
