This specimen was lot 3513 in Stephen Album sale 50 (Santa Rosa, CA, September 2024), where it sold for $102. The catalog description[1] noted, "AFGHANISTAN: Abdurrahman, 1880-1901, AR rupee, Kabul, AH1311, an attractive lustrous example, PCGS graded MS62, ex Hakim Hamidi Collection." Milled coinage was introduced to Afghanistan during the reign of Abdur Rahman (1880-1901). This type was struck AH 1308-1313. An overdate, 1311/09, is noted for the year. Ten rupees made a tilla.
