Revision as of 13:26, 5 June 2026 by LatinKing2020 (talk | contribs) (Text replacement - "Zurich:" to "Zürich:")
This specimen was part of lot 5598 in Sincona Auction 102 (Zürich, October 2025), where it sold for 100 CHF (about US$151 including buyers' fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"SCHWEIZ. Zug. Stadt und Kanton. Schilling 1693, Zug. Schilling 1709. Lot von 2 Stück. Sehr schön-gutes sehr schön. (Switzerland, city and canton of Zug, schillings of 1693 and 1709, Zug mint. Very Fine-Good Very Fine, two pieces.)"
This type was struck 1691-93 and does not have a high catalog value. Coinage from this canton is generally scanty. St. Wolfgang is depicted on the reverse.
