Sincona sale 70, lot 3636

This specimen was lot 3636 in Sincona sale 70 (Zürich, May 2021), where it sold for 70 CHF (about US$92 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"SWITZERLAND | Zug | Stadt und Kanton. Schilling 1692, Zug. Sehr schön-fast vorzüglich. (Switzerland, canton of Zug, schilling of 1692, Zug mint. Very fine-about extremely fine.)"

This type was struck 1691-93 and does not have a high catalog value. Coinage from this canton is generally scanty.
