Sincona sale 98, lot 4219

This specimen was lot 4219 in SINCONA Auction 98 (Zürich, May 2025), where it did not sell. The catalog description^[1] noted,

"SCHWEIZ Genf/Genève, Stadt und Kanton, 3 Sols 1554, Genf. Mzz. G. Selten. Gutes sehr schön. (Switzerland, canton of Geneva, three sols of 1554, Geneva mint. Rare, Good Very Fine.)"

This type was struck nearly continuously 1554-94. Numista does not mention the mintmark clearly visible here. One thaler was 96 sols.

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specifications: 4.0 g, billon, 26 mm diameter, this specimen 3.29 g.
