Sincona sale 39, lot 3889

This specimen was lot 3889 in Sincona sale 39 (Zürich, May 2017), where it sold for 250 CHF (about US$300 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"HOLY ROMAN EMPIRE - AUSTRIA, Erzherzog Ferdinand Karl, 1632-1662 Vierteltaler 1654. Hall. Sehr schön. (Holy Roman Empire, Ferdinand Charles, 1632-62, quarter thaler of 1654, Very fine.)"

This type was struck the one year only and was accompanied by a half thaler with the archduke's portrait.
