This specimen was lot 798 in Sedwick Auction 37 (Winter Park, FL, May 2025), where it sold for $540. The catalog description[1] noted, "BOLIVIA, Potosí, cob 4 reales, 1756 q, ex-Ponte. Very thick chunky flan (small diameter) with well-centered full cross, nearly full pillars, two dates, VF+ with toning in crevices. Pedigreed to the Luis R. Ponte Collection." This type was struck for Philip V through his entire reign. Assayer "q" stamped coins 1744-59. The silver cobs were debased from 0.931 fine to 0.917 fine in 1728.
