Fribourg 1811 batzen

This specimen was lot 4250 in Sincona sale 43 (Zürich, October 2017), where it sold for 300 CHF (about US$358 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"Freiburg/Fribourg, Stadt und Kanton, Batzen 1811. FDC. Hübsche Patina. NGC MS65. (city and canton of Fribourg, batzen of 1811. Uncirculated, Attractive patina.)"
This somewhat scarce type was struck 1811 only. Half, five and ten batzen were also struck in 1811. Forty batzen made a thaler. The last cantonal issue was a 2½ rappen of 1846 (KM 91).
