Fribourg 1811 10 batzen
This specimen was lot 3203 in SINCONA Auction 97 (Zürich, May 2025), where it sold for 400 CHF (about US$581 including buyers' fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"SCHWEIZ Freiburg/Fribourg, Stadt und Kanton, 10 Batzen 1811, Freiburg. Schräg geriffelter Rand. Gutes vorzüglich. Hübsche Patina. (Switzerland, canton of Fribourg, ten batzen of 1811, Fribourg mint, with diagonally reeded edge. About Uncirculated, Attractively toned.)"
This and a scarce issue of 1812 (KM 79) are the only issues of this denomination from this canton after the French occupation. The last cantonal issue was a 2½ rappen of 1846 (KM 91).
