Alsace 1623 thaler Dav-3170

This specimen was lot 2734 in Sincona sale 33 (Zürich, October 2016), where it sold for 325 CHF (about US$386 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"HOLY ROMAN EMPIRE - AUSTRIA. Ferdinand II. 1618-1637 Taler 1623. Ensisheim. Gutes sehr schön. Felder leicht geglättet. (Holy Roman Empire, Ferdinand II, 1618-37, thaler of 1623, Ensisheim mint. Good very fine, Fields slightly tooled.)"
This type, noted for 1621 and 1623, is not rare but is priced about double that of Dav-3345.
