Künker sale 335, lot 3593

This specimen was lot 3593 in Künker sale 335 (Osnabrück, Germany, March 2020), where it sold for €3,400 (about US$4,449 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"BAYERN, SEIT 1623 KURFÜRSTENTUM, SEIT 1806 KÖNIGREICH: Maximilian I. (IV.) Joseph, 1799-1806-1825. Konv.-Taler 1802. Mit "MAXIM · JOSEPH" in der Vorderseitenumschrift. RR Attraktives Exemplar mit feiner Patina, winz. Kratzer, vorzüglich + . (Germany, electorate of Bavaria, Maximilian Joseph, 1799-1825, convention thaler of 1802, with "MAXIM · JOSEPH" in the obverse legend. Rare, attractive example with nice patina, hairlined, extremely fine or better.)"
