Sincona sale 78, lot 430

This specimen was lot 430 in Sincona sale 78 (Zurich, October 2022), where it sold for 700 CHF (about US$839 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted, "RUSSIA | Russian Empire and Federation | Alexander I. 1801-1825, 20 Kopecks 1814, St. Petersburg Mint, SPB PS. Rare in this condition. NGC MS62." This is a common date of a type struck 1810-26. Assayer МФ is also recorded for this date.

Recorded mintage: unknown but common, along with assayer МФ.

Specification: 4.14 g, 0.868 fine silver.
