Iran AH 1330 500 dinars

This specimen was lot 1240 in Sincona sale 85 (Zurich, October 2023), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted,
"IRAN, Sultan Ahmad Shah, 1327-1344 AH (1909-1925). 500 Dinars 1330 AH (1912 AD), Tehran Mint. Lion & Sun type. NGC AU55. From the Kian collection, auction SINCONA 49, October 2018, lot 255."
This type was struck AH 1327-1330. This specimen was offered again as lot 115 in Sincona sale 92 (Zurich, October 2024), where it sold for 120 CHF (about US$166 including buyer's fees).
Recorded mintage: 627,000.
Specification: 2.30 g, 0.900 fine silver, 18 mm diameter.
