Stephen Album sale 50, lot 2769

This specimen was lot 2769 in Stephen Album sale 50 (Santa Rosa, CA, September 2024), where it sold for $120. The catalog description[1] noted, "DANISH INDIA: TRANQUEBAR: Christian VI, 1730-1746, AE kas, 1731, crowned C 6 monogram, divided date // crowned Norge lion on curved battle-axe; slight porosity, nice F-VF, RR, ex Solar Collection." The Danish fort at Tranquebar was sold to the British in 1845. During the reign of Christian VI, the lead cash was dropped in favor of this copper coin.
