This specimen was lot 23382 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Philadelphia, August 2018), where it sold for $65. The catalog description[1] noted, "MEXICO. 8 Reales, 1892-AsML. PCGS AU-55 Secure Holder. A touch of softness appears in the centers." The Alamos mint struck eight reales 1864-95. Many of the early dates are rare but this one is fairly common.

Recorded mintage: 465,000.

Specification: 27.07 g, 0.903 fine silver, .786 troy oz ASW.
