This specimen was lot 1038 in Sincona sale 19 (Zurich, October 2014), where it sold for CHF 5,000 (about US$6,266 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted, "2 Kopecks 1924. Brilliant uncirculated." In 1921, having defeated all its internal enemies, the Bolshevik regime resumed the issue of silver coinage of ten kopeks up to a ruble. In 1924, this bronze two kopeks was added, along with a one, three and five kopeks.
