This specimen was lot 74439 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, September 2023), where it sold for $80. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Bavaria. Kreuzer, 1871. Ludwig II. NGC MS-67. This Gem example offers ample brilliant luster, and some slightly mottled golden toning on its diminutive surfaces. Very attractive. None graded higher at NGC." This type was struck 1865-71 and is common in all grades. One thaler was 120 kreuzer. Unification in 1871 ended the series.
