This specimen was lot 73352 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, May 2023), where it sold for $552. The catalog description[1] noted, "SWEDEN. 10 Ore, 1938-G. Stockholm Mint. Gustaf V. NGC PROOFLIKE-66 Cameo. This glimmering and pleasing example yields unto the eye a sensual displays of vibrant luster and exciting details." This type is listed for 1909-19 and 1927-42. The early dates are scarce compared to the later dates.
Recorded mintage: 7,428,140 plus a few proofs, a common date.
Specification: 1.45 g, 0.400 fine silver, 15 mm diameter.
