This specimen was lot 3445 in Goldberg sale 87 (Los Angeles, September 2015), where it sold for $211.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "Switzerland: Aargau. 5 Batzen, 1826. Silver. Shield. Reverse: Cross. Tan toning. NGC graded MS-66." This type is listed for 1826 only but is the most common five batzen. This and a one batzen comprise the coinage for the year. Aargau ceased issuing coins in 1831.
