Sincona sale 64, lot 3035

This specimen was lot 3035 in Sincona sale 64 (Zürich, June 2020), where it sold for 375 CHF (about US$470 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"SWITZERLAND | Aargau | Kanton, Batzen 1826, Bern. Vierpass ohne Perlkreis. Sehr selten in dieser Erhaltung. Fast FDC. Kleines Zainende. (canton of Aargau, batzen of 1826, Bern mint, without circle of pearls. Very rare in this condition, About uncirculated, Minor edge clip.)"

This one year issue comes with (KM 22) and without the circle of pearls on the obverse (shown here). It was accompanied by a five batzen. The last issue from this canton was in 1831.
