This specimen was lot 41250 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2023), where it sold for $216. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Brunswick-Luneburg: Wolfenbuttel. 1/4 Taler, 1596. Goslar Mint. Heinrich Julius. PCGS EF-45. From the Robert C. Knepper Collection." This type was struck 1594-99 and has a rather high catalog value, altho this example realized only one third of the catalog value.
