Goldberg NY International sale 59, lot 2079

This specimen was lot 2079 in Goldberg's NY International sale 59 (New York, January 2023), where it sold for $408. The catalog description[1] noted, "Polushka 1795 EM. Authenticated and graded by NGC MS 62 BN (# 6349513-016). Brilliant uncirculated." This type was struck at Ekaterinburg 1766-75, 1786, 1789-90 and 1794-96. Many dates are common tho this one is somewhat scarce. Similar coins were also struck at Kolyvan (KM C55.4) and without mintmark (KM C55.2, C55.5). The Ekaterinburg product is by far the most available.
