This specimen was lot 73227 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, June 2021), where it sold for $552. The catalog description[1] noted, "STRAITS SETTLEMENTS. 10 Cents, 1898. London Mint. Victoria. NGC MS-62. The steely gray minor presents some alluring brilliance and hints of toning near a portion of the peripheries on the obverse." The type was struck in 1871-1901 and many dates are common, including this one.
