This specimen was lot 73224 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, June 2021), where it sold for $156. The catalog description[1] noted, "STRAITS SETTLEMENTS. 20 Cents, 1899. London Mint. Victoria. PCGS AU-55 Gold Shield. A wholesome example with a thin gray toning, and bright luster remaining in the peripheries." The type was struck in 1871-1901 after the Straits Settlements were made a separate crown colony and is scarce in nice condition despite the substantial mintage. This date is common for the type.

Recorded Mintage: 204,000.

Specification: 5.43 g, 0.800 fine silver, 23 mm diameter.
