This specimen was part of lot 23181 in Heritage sale 3010 (Boston, August 2010), where it sold for $230. The catalog description[1] noted, "A Mixed Nine Coin Grouping: 1/4 Cent 1898; Cent 1897; 10 Cents 1902 (two pieces); 20 Cents 1898; 50 Cents: 1898, 1903, and 1921 (two pieces). Coins grade Fine-AU. A Lot to be carefully studied." The type was struck in 1871-1901 after the Straits Settlements were made a separate crown colony and is scarce in nice condition despite the large mintage. This date is common for the type.
