Revision as of 09:41, 11 June 2025 by LatinKing2020 (talk | contribs) (Text replacement - "Zurich," to "Zürich,")
This specimen was lot 2171 in Sincona sale 11 (Zürich, May 2013), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted,
"NIEDERLANDE Utrecht, Provinz ¼ Gulden 1759. Gutes vorzüglich. (Netherlands, province of Utrecht, quarter gulden of 1759, good extremely fine.)"
The quarter gulden (= five stuivers) was struck 1758-59 only and was likely abandoned in favor of the scheepjesschelling (six stuivers) already in production.
Recorded mintage: unknown.
Specification: 2.65 g, .920 fine silver, .289 troy oz ASW, this specimen 3.00 g.
