The first specimen was lot 177 in Sincona sale 65 (Zürich, October 2020), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted,
"2 Kopecks 1832, Suzun Mint, SM. Rare. 0.5 roubles according to Petrov. 1 rouble according to Ilyin. About extremely fine. (2 копейки 1832, Сузунский МД, СМ. 10,23 г. Биткин 685. Редкие. 0,5 рубля по Петрову. 1 рубль по Ильину. Состояние практически отличное.)"
The second specimen was lot 3026 in Sincona sale 77 (Zürich, May 2022), where it sold for 600 CHF (about US$728 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[2] noted, "RUSSIA | Russian Empire and Federation | Nicholas I. 1825-1855. 2 Kopecks 1832, Suzun Mint, SM. Rare. 0.5 roubles according to Petrov. 1 rouble according to Ilyin. Good extremely fine." This type was struck 1831-39 at Suzun (shown here) and Ekaterinburg.
Recorded mintage: 1,500,000, a common date.
