This specimen was lot 22905 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Chicago, August 2019), where it sold for $156. The catalog description[1] noted, "GREAT BRITAIN. 10 Pounds, 1989. London Mint. Gem Brilliant Proof. Approaching flawless with no signs of haze, spots or tone over the surfaces. Sold with the original box and certificate that designates this as coin number 449." This type was struck 1987-89 as a bullion coin in sizes ranging up to one ounce.

Recorded mintage: 6,500.

Specification: 3.41 g, 0.917 fine gold, 0.100 troy oz.
