This specimen was lot 71141 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, October 2021), where it sold for $228. The catalog description[1] noted, "GREAT BRITAIN. 10 Pounds, 1988. Llantrisant Mint. Elizabeth II. PCGS PROOF-69 Deep Cameo. A brilliant, nearly perfect Proof with hard mirrored fields and frosted cameo devices." This type was struck 1987-89 as a bullion coin in sizes ranging up to one ounce.
