Sincona sale 85, lot 1165

This specimen was lot 1165 in Sincona sale 85 (Zurich, October 2023), where it sold for 6,000 CHF (about US$8,080 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"IRAN, Muhammad Ali Shah, 1324-1327 AH (1907-1909). 1 Toman 1327 AH (1909/1910 AD), Tehran Mint. Bust type. Very rare. NGC AU58. From the Kian collection, auction SINCONA 49, October 2018, lot 183. From the Mortimer Hammel collection, Stack's Bowers, New York, 1982. Finest certified by NGC."

This rare type was struck only in AH 1327.
