Sincona sale 67, lot 4255

This specimen was lot 4255 in Sincona sale 67 (Zürich, October 2020), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted,

"IRAN | Qajar Dynasty | Ahmad Shâh, 1327-1344 H./1909-1925 AD, Silver coinage. 1/4 Qiran 1327 H. Titles and name in wreath, rev. lion and sun above value in wreath, date below. Rare. Uncirculated."

This type was also struck undated. Another quarter kran (KM-1035) exists with a crown on both sides. It is rare. The quarter kran was worth 250 dinars.

Specification: 1.15 g, 0.900 fine silver, this specimen 1.17 g.
